Barrique / Barriqu'l'e
Barriqule is the eyewear brand founded in 2014 by Lorenzo Del Tufo, who envisioned creating a new way to tell the lifestyle of food and wine enthusiasts among the vineyards of Barolo and Barbaresco through a refined style accessory, with a personal and authentic character like eyewear. The brand name is inspired by a strong connection to the world of wine: in Langa, the homeland of fine wines recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, barricule means eyewear, and the reference to the object from which they originate, the barriques (small French barrels for aging wines), is direct.

"I was in the cellar where my family has been producing wine for several generations when I noticed some old barrels stacked in a corner, ready to be burned after having fulfilled their purpose: to hold the precious wines that have made our region so famous for several years.
